New Trailer
General Engines Co., Inc., of Thorofare, New Jersey, "world's largest manufacturer of tag-a-long type trailers," introduces its newest trailer to the General "Year Round Line," the Four Ton Little Beaver.
This low profile, four ton trailer loads wide equipment up to 80 in. on its 2 in. thick Oak deck which is 13 ft. long. Overall trailer length is 20 ft. 6 in. with permanent chock-ramps in folded position. The folding chock ramps, a feature found previously on larger General trailers drop down for fast, safe loading, then become wheel chocks by an easy, one-hand-flip up onto the deck.
Box channel construction makes the Four Ton rugged, and lights and running gear are class "A." First-line 8:00 by 12 P.R. tires, screw type jack and 12 in by 2 in. electric brakes are also standard equipment. The General Four Ton hauls loader, back-hoe combinations up to 8,000 lbs. safe and secure with four tie-down rings and the trailer's built in chock ramps. Color is "Highway Yellow."
This trailer replaces General's Three Ton Trailer model with its increased capacity and extra width. The Four Ton is one of 18 standard models in capacities from one to 20 tons in the General "Year Round Line."
