An interim Progress Report on MCAA's Insurance Programs

Fred S. James & Co. first assumed responsibility for administration of the MCAA Group Insurance Program in 1963 when it consisted of just one policy. Since then it has grown markedly in terms of different benefit plans available, degree of participation and sophistication.

MCAA can be justifiably proud of its current program which continues to make insurance protection available at a premium level far under what it costs members or their own. And that, after all, is the principal reason for its existence.

Coverages Presently In Force
GROUP ACCIDENTAL DEATH AND DISMEMBERMENT

The anniversary date of this coverage is December 1, the current premium level being $29,000.

$1.000 Group Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage is provided free to each MCAA member-firm, for the benefit of a named owner, officer or key employee.

Salaried employees and their families have the opportunity to supplement this list at low group rates by adding additional names and selection of optionally higher coverage limits as well as Accident Medical Reimbursement and Accident Weekly Disability benefits. Because individual rates are approximately double, all employers should consider letting employees participate, even at their own expense, since this is an advantage not otherwise available to them.

Accident claims reported by our members and their families include:

FAMILY MONEY PLAN

The anniversary date of this popular plan is April 15, with an interim billing made on October 15 of each year. The carrier is the Fireman's Fund-American Group and the annual premium volume is $20,000 at premium rates which cannot be duplicated today, either in the Fireman's Fund or another company.

With hospital and related medical costs on the increase as they are, supplemental protection is becoming more and more a necessity. This policy provides $30 per day of hospital confinement for salaried employees, $20 for their insured spouse and $10 per day for each child. Benefits begin on the first day of confinement without any waiting period and it pays in addition to other coverage you may have in force.
