Sign Two New Agreements
In a landmark transaction, the Mason Contractors Association of America (MCAA) has entered into an agreement with the Bricklayers, Masons & Plasterers International Union (BM & PIU) and the Laborers International Union (LIUNA) covering the installaton and erection of brick, block, stone and other panels made of unit masonry or from "natural product" materials.
Perpetuating the custom of teamwork within the masonry industry, the agreement provides that the installation of such panels be performed by BM & PIU craftsmen with Laborers assisting in the traditional relationship between bricklayers, stone masons and laborers.
