The U.S. General Services Administration has appointed John F. Galuardi regional administrator for GSA's Region 3 with headquarters in Washington, D.C., and H. D. (Doug) Harvell as regional administrator of Region 6 in Kansas City, Mo. Massey-Ferguson, Inc., Des Moines, Ia., has made two major senior management appointments in its North American operations- B. M. Brown as senior vice president-operations and W. A. Fredericks as senior vice president-finance. The company also has appointed Spencer B. Matteson industrial sales manager-U.S. in Des Moines Richard A. Seagrave has been named general manager of operations of JI Case Co.'s Construction Equipment Division, Racine, Wis.

Plan Symposium
The Diamond Wheel Manufacturers Institute will feature 24 papers covering the use of diamond and cubic boron nitride abrasives at their third technical symposium scheduled for November 6, 1975. Announced for the Hyatt Regency O'Hare Hotel in Chicago, the one-day meeting will present international grinding and sawing authorities from three continents. Concurrent sessions in four major grinding areas will be conducted. These include carbides, metals, glass/ceramics and stone/concrete.
The symposium which will use the theme-"Diamonds/CBN Abrasives -A New Status for Superabrasives" is expected to attract a large audience of abrasive users from the U. S. and countries abroad.
Scaffold Association Forms Northwest Chapter
The Scaffold Contractors Association, Van Nuys, Calif., has announced the formation of a new Northwest Chapter following a one-day conference in Portland, Ore.
Newly elected officers of the chapter are: Ivy Howard, Ivy Rents, Eugene, Ore., president; Arthur Johnston, Waco Scaffold & Equipment Co., Portland, Ore., vice president; Edward Berg, Berg Equipment & Scaffolding Co., Tacoma, Wash., secretary, and James Johnson, Sky-Hi Scaffolding Ltd., Burnaby, В.С., Canada.
The Northwest Chapter covers Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, British Columbia and Alberta. The Scaffold Contractors Association was formed in 1972 to pool the talents and resources of the scaffold industry. Membership in the association now consists of more than 80 companies in 14 states and Canada.
