MCAA and the Material Handling Committee have added another dimension to the Association's Rough Terrain Forklift Safety Training Program.
FORKLIFT SIGNALS
easy-to-read Forklift Signals in decal form.
You can affix these self-stick decals to your equipment or to any other location that has good visibility for the worker. Constant repetition of the signals makes them become more effective and useful on construction sites. Colorfully designed, the decals are made of durable dri-mark vinyl to withstand all types of weather conditions.
This is another important step to aid in the proper safety training of your personnel. Take advantage of these decals and of all the tools in MCAA's Rough Terrain Forklift Safety Training Program.
The decals are available from the MCAA Executive Office at the following price schedule: 1-10 decals, $.45 each; 11-50 decals, $.40 each; 51 or more, $.35 each.
Architecture Students Get Financial Aid
(Right) Larry Troillet of Little Rock, 5th-year student at the University of Arkansas School of Architecture, receives a check for $3,000 from Ted H. Brewer, executive director of the Arkansas Chapter of MCAA. The check represents a full scholarship for Troillett. The four University of Arkansas architecture students pictured above (front row) received $700 partial scholarships. The students are (left to right) David McKee, Bentonville: Dennis Wiehl, Fayetteville, Chris Volkamer; Little Rock, and Richard C. Huniston, Springdale. Pictured with them are Ted Brewer (left rear): Dean C. M. Smart (right rear) of the School of Architecture, and Ernie Jacks, assistant dean. According to Brewer, the purpose of the scholarships, in addition to helping the students financially, is to give them an opportunity to become "better acquainted with masonry materials and products as they become involved in construction, whether in the rehabilitation and preservation of buildings or the creation of the most contemporary new structures."
