IMI Board Chairman Eugene George noted that the 1980 program calls for an increase in Institute expenditures, but at the same time has a great deal of flexibility built into it so that IMI will be able to adjust to changing circumstances.
Another important aspect of the 1980 program is that practically all of the national-level activities IMI will conduct will have local/regional application, making it possible for the Institute to assist and support the work of local/regional institutes, mason contractor groups, and local unions.

VICA Elects Officers
Rolland E. Pywell, State Superintendent of Vocational Education of Idaho, has been elected president of the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America whose board met for the first time in VICA's new Leadership Center near Leesburg, Va.
Newly elected board members are: Ben L. Baines, State Superintendent of Technical & Industrial Education of Virginia; Pat White, Director of Industrial Education of Kentucky, and Ed Henry, Program Administrator of Industrial Education of Kansas.
