# Isberner Starts Private Engineering Practice
Albert W. Isberner, longtime research engineer with the Portland Cement Association, resigned effective June 15 to establish a private consulting engineering practice. As a registered professional engineer, Isberner will consult in the areas of sepecification review and construction problems related to materials of masonry, plaster and concrete.

Barry N. Eiswerth of H2L2 Architects/Planners, Philadelphia, Pa., has been elected an associate of the National Academy of Design, New York. N.Y. Harry Mason Champlin is now handling the sales efforts in eastern Missouri and southern Illinois on behalf of The Stone Center, St. Louis-based fabricator and sales agent for granite, marble and stone products.
Louis G. Donne has been named vice president of the Hartford Division of Plasticrete Block & Supply Corp., North Haven, Conn. General Portland, Inc., Dallas, Tex., has promoted Fred W. Koester to vice president & general manager of its Trinity North Division.

# Masonry Construction Forum Held in Kentucky
The Kentuckiana Masonry Institute, in cooperation with the Masonry Industry Council, recently sponsored a "Masonry Construction Forum" in Louisville, Ky.
Energy conservation, loadbearing masonry and steel stud systems were among the topics discussed.
# Ontario Masonry Fund Sponsors Seminars
A full-day working session on "Design of Masonry Construction" was presented to more than 120 Canadian architects and engineers in Toronto by the Ontario Masonry Industry Promotion Fund.
The seminar was part of a series of educational programs being conducted by the Fund in 1981. Previous sessions were held in Hamilton and Toronto on "Masonry and the Building Envelope."
