Glass Block Upsurge
Look around, and you'll no doubt notice that glass block are appearing in more and more dwellings as replacements for windows.

The reasons are several: they are good protection from burglars, since they are very difficult to break; they transmit light, while offering privacy, making them ideal for such areas as bathrooms, and their excellent insulating capacity is equal to that of a regular window-with-storm.

The cost is attractive, too about $30 to fill a 14 by 32-in. opening.
