# TRANSFERRING THE FAMILY BUSINESS
If you have spent a lifetime building your business, you probably want to ensure that your years of hard work and sacrifice will continue to generate income for your family, jobs for your employees and quality products or services for your customers long after you have left the company.
The premature demise of the family business is usually the result of a failure to adequately plan for the eventual transfer of ownership. The combination of last minute planning and lack of foresight can tear your family apart, leave you unprepared to give up control or even force the sale of all or part of your business to outsiders. Learn how to protect your family business and successfully transfer the reins to the next generation. The speaker for this presentation will be Dirk Stanley of Tri-Planning Group, Dayton, Ohio.

# WHY QUALITY: A MATTER OF SURVIVAL
Your customers' expectations are growing everyday. Their requirements are becoming more sophisticated and demanding. More qualified competition from within the masonry industry as well as stronger competition from other forms of construction dictate that we perform at higher standards.
The need to control unnecessary costs is critical to a company's ability to survive in the '90's. Thousands of dollars can be saved by implementing a quality process customers can be saved by meeting their expectations the first time, every time.
Many companies realize that a formalized quality process is not an option in today's market place it's a matter of survival! Contractors and producers who recognize this reality and take positive action to meet these needs will win! Those who don't will find their share of the masonry industry market shrinking. Michael Callahan of Callahan/Roach & Associates. Columbus, Ohio will head this workshop.
