CHANGES GROWTH
James J. Horn has been promoted to the position of Austin Branch Manager by Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation. He will oversee the entire Austin branch operation from sales to the service department.
Jennifer Pace has been named the membership director, Carla Blaine the promotional director and Ava Seaney editor of Brick Magazine by the National Association of Brick Distributors.
Joseph Dear, formerly the director of the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries, has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate as the Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health. Dear becomes the ninth permanent OSHA administrator.
Leslie Faulkner has been appointed western regional manager by Permagrain Products manufacturers of stone surfacing materials. She will be responsible for a territory that consists of the western United States, including Alaska and Hawaii.
Plettag AG, of Plettenberg, Germany, a leading European scaffolding manufacturer, has acquired Bil-Jax. Steven J. Wyse, president of Bil-Jax, will continue as company president and as a member of the management board. Personnel changes are not anticipated.
Ford Motor Company, RO Cranes Corporation and Giuffre Brothers Cranes, will join together in a supply, manufacturing and financing agreement which will allow purchasers to acquire and finance new cranes at a package price.
Kathryn M. Reissig has been appointed to the position of marketing services manager for Stone Construction Equipment. She will manage the corporation's coop ad program, edit the newsletter, coordinate product press releases and manage promotional activities.
Rochelle C. Jaffe has been retained as senior structural engineer by the Construction Technology Laboratories, a specialized engineering consulting firm. In this position, she will investigate and evaluate structural and architectural deficiencies.
Tom Guennewig, formerly general sales manager, has been promoted to the position of executive director, North American sales, by the Admixture Division of Master Builders, Incorporated.
American Society for Concrete Construction offices will be relocated to Detroit, from the Northbrook, Ilinois offices. William D. Palmer, American Concrete Institute president, will serve as ASCC executive vice president. W. Burr Bennett, Jr. will relinquish his duties as ASCC executive vice president. Association Concepts, Limited the for-profit affiliate of ACI, has been retained to manage ASCC's operations.
Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America will move its Mentor, Ohio headquarters to 2011 West Sam Houston Parkway North, Houston, Texas 77043. Phone 713/467-1234. This move will consolidate the company's engineering, manufacturing, marketing and management functions and will be completed by June, 1994.
