Dayton Superior, Miamisburg, Ohio, producer of metal accessories and chemicals for the concrete industry, announced the acquisition of Dur-O-Wal, Arlington Heights, Illinois, manufacturer of masonry wall reinforcements and accessories. Both companies will retain their own corporate identities.
Grove Worldwide has signed an agreement to purchase Delta Systems of Tonneins, France, for approximately $5.2-million. Delta produces a line of innovative vertical lift aerial work platforms designed for use in confined environments.
Boral Bricks sold its Kansas City brick distribution center to employee Evan Schnegelberger. The newly organized Kansas City Brick Company will be the exclusive Boral distributor in the Kansas City area.
Kathryn Reissig, marketing service manager for Stone Construction Equipment, was recently elected to the board of directors of the Greater Rochelle (New York) Council for Excellence. She was also named secretary of the organization.
Scott McManus has been appointed western regional sales manager for the Rawlplug Company, succeeding Michael Bentley, new director of power actuated fasteners. McManus was formerly with Makita Tools.
Rawlplug Company has opened a Texas-Oklahoma branch, with an office in Houston and warehouses in Houston and Dallas. James Thompson has been named branch manager. Houston office number is 713/ 228-1524.
The Pennsylvania Concrete Masonry Association elected new officers and board members at their recent convention, for the 1995-96 year. Elected president was John P. Morgan, Beavertown Block, Middleburg. Also elected were Don Dunlap, vice president, Faddis Concrete, Downington; Ron Jons, secretary, Nitterhouse Concrete, Chambersburg; George Parthmer, treasurer, Standard Concrete, York. Elected as producer directors were Joe Dufour, Rennekamp Supply, Pittsburgh, Paul Kelly, Scranton Block, Scranton; Vern Swartley, Keystone Lintel, Quakertown, Gary Nouse, Kilcoin Block, Bedford; Bill VonLeer, Allentown Cement, Brandon, as associate director.
Jay-Kay Sales, Topsham Maine, has been appointed the Western Forms dealer for Maine and New Hampshire.
Paul Chapman has been appointed to the newly created position of regional sales manager for Liquid Control Corporation's southeast II region. He will be responsible for sales in Alabama, Florida, Mississippi and parts of Georgia and Tennessee. Angelo Chiarucci, a certified journeyman/ machinist, has joined the firm as a technical support specialist.
Stone Construction Equipment has announced the appointment of four new district managers. They are: Pat Daly, for the states of Arizona, California and Nevada; Jim Johnson, Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and parts of western Canada; Gary Kirkman, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri and part of Indiana; and Doug Mingst, Delaware, New Jersey and parts of New York and Pennsylvania.
