Excellence in Masonry Awards Finds Best of the Best

Positive reviews were also heard on all aspects of the 4th Annual Excellence In Masonry Awards Competition. This year, 27 entries were submitted and were placed within 5 categories, classified by Residential, Rehab/Restoration, Education/Governmental, Industrial/Commercial and Pavers/Retaining Walls/Landscape. All entries were judged prior to the Conference and once the winners were determined, sculptures and plaques were made up and were presented to the winning mason contractors and architects of those projects. Awards were presented at an Excellence in Masonry Awards Breakfast held Saturday morning, January 18. Approximately 80 people were in attendance to give recognition to the winner. Following is a list of winners from the various categories:

The MCAA would again like to give thanks to all who submitted projects and appreciate the continued support of this program. Special thanks to John Melander, Portland Cement Association and Mark Hogan, National Concrete Masonry Association for moderating the awards program on Saturday morning.
