Former Brick Industry National President/CEO Talks About: Non-Stop Scaffolding
During the past four decades Ken Dash served our national masonry industry on several levels: as National Marketing Director for the Brick Institute of America; as Executive Director for the Masonry Institute in Washington, D.C. and, most recently, as President/CEO for a national association representing brick distributors.
He's been a featured speaker at the annual national conventions of BIA, IMI, MCAA, NCMA and SCPI. His masonry industry articles and opinions have been published and reprinted numerous times.
Now that Dash runs his own national construction marketing firm (Dash Communications, Bethesda, MD), he's finally able to voice his four decade-long personal opinions about those masonry products which consistently give smart masonry contractors the greatest chance to increase (or even double) their profits! This issue: The Masonry Contractors' Best Friend... Non-Stop Adjustable Masonry Scaffolding.
Next issue, I'll get into all the technical, safety and financial reasons why I think you should immediately return whatever adjustable masonry scaffolding you're using and take those exact trade-in dollars and use it on high-quality/low-cost Non-Stop products.
But for now, let's set aside those slam-dunk quantitative reasons and solely focus on why I feel that Non-Stop has set the standard in the adjustable masonry scaffolding business for the last 25 years.
Do you Remember that old TV commercial where one look-alike copier salesman after another began their sales pitch to the beleaguered copier buyer with the exact same sentence...we're just as good Xerox? Fortunately, the copier buyer seemed to know better.
Why is that old Xerox commercial important today? Because Non-Stop has become Xerox. In my opinion, they've become the gold standard against which all adjustable masonry scaffolding is measured.
Looking back on the last 25 years (since Non-Stop changed the industry), I wish I had just one dollar each time an adjustable masonry scaffold salesman told me...we're just as good as Non-Stop. I've heard that tired sentence again and again and again.
Yet, isn't it amazing that I've never heard the sentence...we're better than Non-Stop. Never. Ever.
