which is a highly demanding volunteer position with regards to taking time away from running a masonry business. As President, you not only deal with the daily operation of the chapter, but you spend time with committee chairmen, association staff as well as issues and organizations outside of the association. OIn most cases, Presidents of associations are the liaison with other allied associations, requiring additional volunteer time away from the masonry business. In addition to serving as President, Procter is active on the Negotiating Committee and is active in both masonry promotion and recruitment by serving on the Masonry Institute of Tennessee, where he had served as President, as well as a Trustee on Local #4 Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee. Procter has not rested there, he remains active in mason recruitment by visiting area vocational programs, judging VICA mason contests, and serving the MCAA with his involvement on the Marketing Committee and acting as State Chairman.

In fact, over the past nine years, he has increased his involvement by becoming the President of the MCA of Greater Chicago and serving on the Industry Wall Bracing Council which developed the new industry standard for bracing masonry walls under construction. Through his leadership, the MCAGC has become active in state legislative issues. He has served on numerous MCAA national committees as well as serving on the Illinois Masonry Institute Board which oversees local promotion in the greater Chicago area.
