Keith Parker of Philadelphia, Pa., and his instructor, Dan Hiltebeitel of the Williamson Free School of Mechanical Trades in Media, Pa., were obviously quite proud of Keith's completed project. A day later, Parker was awarded top honors in the post secondary competition.

Prior to the contest, the instructors and contestants enjoyed a guided tour of the Miller Materials plant. Following the tour, they were guests at a luncheon in their honor.
The keynote speaker was Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger whose dream to become a football player at Notre Dame was immortalized in the popular movie, Rudy. Rudy was a popular speaker as nearly every contestant and instructor lined up for autographs and photos at the conclusion of his inspirational talk.
A record level of participation and industry support was reported this year by Kimberly Shifflette, Director of Education for the Mason.
