Tailgate help

Tailgate Balance by Pop&Lock uses coil springs to counterbalance the weight of the tailgate. Advantages are enhanced safety and ease of operation. During opening, the springs prevent a freefall crash by arresting the tailgate in an intermediate position. This feature facilitates one-hand operation since a second hand is not needed to catch the tailgate. During closing, the effort is reduced to less than a third. Installation uses the existing hinge bolts and the springs are made of hardened steel to withstand abuse and exceed the strength of the original cables. Contact Pop&Lock at (800) 342 5911.

Bull-nosed bug shield

Wade Automotive, Salt Lake City, Introduces a new line of original equipment-style hood shields. These stand-away units have a low profile while still protecting the windshield. They have a bull-nose edge all the way around and even though the shield stands away from the hood, it doesn't change the aerodynamics of the vehicle. This eliminates windshield wiper and mirror fluttering at highway speeds. The shields are available in smoke, clear and the look of carbon fiber.
