Young Mason Excels

Dallas Caudle of Midland, N.C., is our Masonry Apprentice of the Month. Caudle represented North Carolina in the National Masonry Contest, held in conjunction with the 40 annual meeting of the SkillsUSA National Leadership Conference held in Kansas City, Mo.

Caudle is serious about his future. In addition to his focus on finishing the masonry program and graduating from Central Cabarrus High School, Caudle is busy working regular hours at McGee Brothers Company, Inc., a masonry company.

Caudle's father worked as a mason and got him started. "My dad got me started laying bricks, but Todd Hartsell [masonry instructor) really taught me the trade. Since then, he's been fine-tuning my skills."

Despite his busy schedule, Caudle plays football for his high school and always seems to find time for his hobbies riding motocross and hunting.
