MCAA's Masonry Training Series

The MCAA Masonry Training Series was developed by a team of individuals drawn from around the country in response to industry demand for skilled, well-trained masons. This easy to use series has 45 different topics in a modular system with over 400 photos and illustrations. A Spanish translation is also offered in Volume 1 of the series.

The instructional materials have been developed to meet the U.S. Department of Labor standards for apprenticeship training. Each year includes at least 144 hours of classroom instruction.

Modules are self-contained and can be used in the MCAA suggested training sequence or the training sequence can be customized to meet individual program needs.

The number of combined lecture and laboratory necessary to teach each module has been listed.

Current OSHA regulations are incorporated as well as the most up-to-date information on specialty areas. Several hundred pictures and illustrations help make the concepts easy to understand. A glossary for easy reference of terms has been included.

An Instructor's Manual with class exercises, instructional suggestions and sample test questions is available.

Chapter objectives, key words, chapter references and supplemental readings are included in each module.
