SEE WHAT OUR MEMBERS ARE SAYING ABOUT US

MCAA Membership dues (renewal dues) are the single largest source of funding that we have. Its importance cannot be understated...it's a vital part of the association which enables us to promote, advocate and fight for our industry on behalf of all mason contractors. As we completed our final round of renewals for the 2009-2010 year, we received the following letter from one of our members. Take a moment to read just how one company's outlook and perceptions were positively influenced by being a member in the MCAA:

Dear MCAA,

I am a successful mason contractor located in Scarborough, Maine. I have been in or related to the masonry field for most of my life and have been self employed since 1977. I joined the MCAA in 1999 and since then have always looked forward to receiving the magazine and reading the articles inside of it. But due to the tough economic times we have been experiencing it's been tough deciding how to spend the company's hard earned money.

In recent months it's been extremely tough to land a job. Being under bid by local and even out of state competition has been heartache after heartache. Not to mention that a few of the jobs we have been second place bidder on have turned into nightmares for the GC in charge of the job, and thanks to our attention to detail and expertise, we have actually been called in to repair work that was not completed, or not done correctly.

Being as it is, I have failed to continue my membership with the MCAA. Always setting the statement we receive about annual membership dues aside, with the thought that on the next job we land we will pay our dues. But sitting in the office with my son on this cold December day, we have come to realize that now, more than ever, the MCAA has more to offer than we ever knew. Many of the upcoming seminars being offered can greatly benefit my son's future in the masonry field and we realize now that by paying these dues we are getting a lot more than just the magazine. So please, although late, accept this check for my membership dues.

Have a happy holiday and a safe and prosperous new year.

Thank You

Rocco Leo II
