Words: Dan KamysThin Veneer Installation Live Demo and Training Event With Laticrete

Stoneyard.com, a supplier of natural thin stone, will be featuring its Boston Blend Mosaic at Laticrete Masonry Veneer Installation Contractor Training Days. This three-day event will occur June 10-12, 2013, and will be held in Ogunquit, Maine.

Over the three days, natural stone will be installed on the exterior of a new home. This live demo and contractor training is open to all contractors, architects, homeowners, and resellers who are interested in learning more about the installation of thin stone veneer. This is a free event that includes a daily BBQ lunch and door prizes, www.Stoneyard.com/LD613.

Some of the the most frequently asked questions when it comes to thin veneer center around how to install it. To answer these questions and many others, Stoneyard.com is teaming up with Laticrete International Inc. to provide a live demonstration and contractor training.

“There is no better way to learn than hands on in the field,” says Stoneyard.com's David Croteau. “Over the three days, you will be able to see from start to finish how our natural stone thin veneer is installed in an exterior application. The Laticrete Masonry Veneer Installation System is the perfect choice for installing outside.”

Laticrete International Air & Water Barrier, Hi-Bond Masonry Veneer Mortar, and Premium Pointing Mortar all come with a 25-year warranty. The Boston Blend Mosaic consists of New England fieldstones that have been gathered from local farms and fields. These stones have been exposed to the elements and have gone through many freeze/thaw cycles over the last 100 years.

The demo and training event is going to be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 43 Sea Oaks Lane, Ogunquit, Maine. Parking is available in the Perkins parking lot on Shore Road, Ogunquit, Maine (a five-minute walk from the event).
