March 2011: For The Record

Words: Dan Kamys For The Record

The Masonry staff bought in to the idea of having a website to support our magazine early on. As part of the media, we knew we had to keep up, so jumping aboard the Internet was an easy decision. As different waves of social media have come crashing to shore, we’ve played the wait-and-see game. What was for real, and what was merely a passing fad? As it turned out, I built a FaceBook page to support Masonry last year.

This year, our staff has issued a full-court press on social media. As we launch and introduce our new online endeavors, I invite you to follow, add, friend, subscribe and visit anything and everything that is Masonry Magazine. We want to help establish and build a strong online community focusing on issues important to our industry, and we need your engagement and participation to do so. As the Mason Contractors Association of America always says, “Together, we are stronger.”

Check out our different social media channels, and let’s start communicating – today. I look forward to “meeting” you in cyberspace.

You can find Masonry in the following locations:

www.FaceBook.com – MASONRY Magazine www.LinkedIn.com – Masonry Magazine www.Twitter.com - MasonryMagazine Masonry Blog – http://masoncontractors.blogspot.com Website – www.MasonryMagazine.com

And, soon, Masonry will launch an eNewsletter to keep you informed of the latest hot topics and helpful industry coverage.

If you’d like to receive our free eNewsletter, email me at jmorrell@lionhrtpub.com, and I’ll sign you up.
