EXTENSION LADDER

A new low price aluminum extension ladder is now being manufactured by Newark & Bracket Co., Clark, New Jersey. Named the Jet, the ladder carried the seal of approval of the Underwriters Laboratories, Inc., even though it is designed for the promotional field.

Rounded tops have been designed to prevent marring of the wall surfaces. The bottoms of the ladder have slots, so safety shoes can be attached to either the base section when used as an extension ladder, or to the top section, if being used as a single ladder, because the ladders can be pulled apart for two separate ladders. Special quality steel locks have been designed with springs that are tested to support over 1,000 lb. loads. Rather than the use of gravity locks, which the manufacturer states is common on most competitive grade ladders, spring locks give positive locking action and is an important safety feature.

A brochure and prices on the Jet ladders can be had by writing to Newark Ladder & Bracket Co, Inc, Clark, New Jersey.

Core bits can be used to drill in walls, floors and ceilings. Use of the bits results in lower cost-per-hole than previous methods of drilling larger holes, the Chicago power tool manufacturer states.

Skil core bits are made as a single piece unit with extra thick walls to withstand the Roto-Hammers powerful combination hammering and power rotation action.

The new bits increase the hole drilling capacity of Model 726 Roto-Hammer from 1 1/4 to 1 5/8" with an effective drilling depth of 8 1/4 and Skil Model 726 from 2 to 3 1/4" with an effective drilling depth of 10 1/2".
