MORGEN ADJUSTABLE SCAFFOLDING
An increase of from 250 to 320 blocks laid per mason per day has been reported by M. Arganbright, La Crescenta, Calif. He completed an estimated 60-day job in 41 days for a savings of $2,000 in wages, 30% in overhead. He did it with a tightened system of materials handling credited with greatly reducing the labor necessary to scaffolding. This reduction enabled the same number laborers to supply 30% more material and keep ahead of the masons with scaffolding.

NEW HOIST BY NEWARK LADDER C
A completely new hoist platform tower, designed for multi-story work up to 40 ft. has been introduced by Newark Ladder & Bracket Co., Inc., Clark, N. J. Named the "Newark Hy-Lift," it is completely automatic and does not need an operator. Its low cost makes it possible for small sized firms to mechanize, and thus cut handling costs.
The "Newark Hy-Lift" is completely portable. It can be transferred from job sites without dismantling, another time saving feature. In the initial setting up of the tower, the manufacturer states that it takes only minutes. The tower is self-erecting and supporting; it will stand by itself, with no need to guy or tie it into the building. Remote automatic controls operate the platform from any height or position.
A new, fully hydraulic operation eliminates brakes, clutches, belts and other moving parts, and thus cuts maintenance costs resulting when these parts wear out.

keyed around Morgen adjustable masonry seaffolding and a high-lift fork truck.
Arganbright followed this basic system:
Masonry Packaging-353 brieks were packaged on 36x4 brick pallets, for a total weight of 2,500-3,000 lbs. on the scaffold. Blocks were also handled on large pallets.
Morgen Seaffolding-Masons were kept constantly at the most efficient working level. Scaffolding raises masons, laborers and all material as work progresses, eliminating rescaffolding and transfer of material.
Proper Material Placement A maneuverable high lift truck placed directly at elbow of the masons.
The adjustable platform feature and the fact that Morgen. scaffolding can be moved intact with a fork lift truck is
