Build School for Cerebral Pal
DAVENPORT, IOWA All segments of the Masonry Industry together to assist in the building of the Fairmount School for Cerebral Palsy of Scott County. Ground was broken in. Then a total of 16,000 brick and 5,500 block were placed in terior and interior walls in one day. Two days later the concrete roof was set. A total of 40 bricklayers and 14 from local masonry contracters donated their time. For the most part, all materials were donated. This modern school building, which will house 63 students and 6 teachers, is a great tribute to the contractors of the Quad Cities and the trades which made this project possible.

to the problem. A method of thermal economic analysis which includes such variables is presented in an article titled "The Ultimate Cost of Building Walls," published by the Structural Clay Products Institute in 1958.
It is not necessary to a determination of the real economics of insulation that the variables which were just mentioned be included in the economic study. If it becomes very precise and includes all the variables, we come to the same conclusion in any event namely that insulation of masonry walls is a good investment and the amount of insulation now generally employed does not approach the economic break-even point.
