children's play fort
The play house in the back yard has long been a center of delight for children. Here this idea is expanded in brick to become a combined castle, fort, and imaginative play center for the whole neighborhood. In some cases, such a structure might be built; in others by the tract builder in open parkland reserved for the subdivision.
child's sandbox
A particularly economical use of brick that will interest youngsters is a sandbox such as this. It is practically child-proof, easily-cleaned, and, as shown, may serve as a broad seat around the perimeter. Here, standard units are used for the corners. However, rounded bull-nose units may be used for corners if desired.
