Plan Expansion Program
PORTLAND, Oregon Omark Industries, Inc., announced a major expansion program in which all of its United States manufacturing operations will be consolidated in a new 200,000-square-foot plant in Milwaukie.
The new facility will be located on a 30-acre site in a newly-acquried 90- acre tract between Railroad Avenue and Lake Road. Plans are to develop the remainder of the tract into an in- dustrial distiret with sites for light manufacturing.
In announcing the expansion program, John D. Gray, president, said growth of the company's business vol- ume in the past several years had out- stripped the capacity of present facil- ities. These include the Chain Divi- sion plant of 66,500 square feet and a corporate office building at 9701 S. E. McLoughlin Blvd., and the Fasten- ing Division plant of 44,500 square feet at 5001 S. E. Johnson Creek Blvd.
