Heavy-duty Tractor
A heavy-duty industrial tractor, the International 2806, with 94.9 PTO observed diesel engine horsepower and a fully-governed speed range of 900 to 2400 RPM, for selection of power and speed for any industrial application, has just been introduced by International Harvester Company.
Handling equally an industrial disk harrow or scraper, or pulling a land plane, sheepsfoot roller, or other industrial equipment, the new International 2806 tractor provides balanced power throughout its operation. Heavy final drive is designed to take the punishment of high-speed, hard-pull work, and 314-inch rear axles support the machine for heaviest loads.
Along with its 94,9 observed PTO horsepower, the new tractor features hydrostatic power steering, power brakes, power-operated independent power take-off, and optional power shift torque amplifier giving 16 forward and 8 speeds for heavy construction demands. With this TA, 45 per cent more pulling effort is achieved without shifting down or declutching. There is automatic engine-compression braking on down grades.
The 2806 power train has been designed to take the strains and stresses of heavy construction work, and the tractor is fitted with International Harvester's new "Dyna-Life" clutch disc utilizing a special facing material that gives it several times the life of ordinary discs.

Super-Skytrak
West Brick Buggy Corp. has redisigned its Super-Skytrak fork lift, incorporating a number of new features that add even greater efficiency and utility to this tractor-mounted front hydraulic lift.
The new Super-Skytrak Model 700 can be used by itself on the job as a one-man crew, or as an integral part of the well-known West System of palletizing and handling masonry materials. It can unload and stockpile as many as 4000 brick in ten minutes; it transports mortar, brick, block, and tile to hoist, scaffold, or work floor; and it handles many other types of materials, such as concrete, scaffolding, planks, beams, joists, lumber and roofing material.
Most outstanding change in the new Super-Skytrak is the completely differet profile on the tractor. The new hood is cut down to give the operator greatly-improved visibility, especially in picking up loads. In order to make this change, West Brick Buggy relocated the radiator in back of the engine, from its conventional location in front.
Other significant new features on the Model 700 include: Use of an alternator instead of a generator, an adjustable steering wheel that can be adjusted up, down, in, and out for operator comfort; one-lever control for raising and extending the boom. For completely safe travel over rough terrain, a self-leveling front end stabilizer compensates for differences in wheel height and prevents dangerous tilting of loads Forks remain level, regardless of ground conditions. The stabilizer automatically locks when the boom is being raised and extended.
The Super-Skytrak 700 has a capacity of 3000 lb., lifting height of 30% ft, and forward reach of 16 ft. This means you can stock a scaffold with no vertical boom interference, and work right over water lines, ditches, and fresh backfill without having to work tight against scaffolding.
The tractor is powered by a 60 BHP Minneapolis-Moline engine, with five speeds forward and five reverse. A torque converter is standard, as well as power steering. Available attachments include a crane hook, rubbish bucket, concrete hopper with chute, and overhead guard.
Construction of the lift is heavy-duty welded plate and tube, The boom is tapered and reinforced with X-bracing for extra rigidity, less sway, longer life, and greater safety. Forks are adjustable and non-tilting; they are locked to the back rack to prevent spillage.
