Executive Board Meets
(continued from page 14)
A Variable Pension plan for the Members of MCAA Walter Derk, Assistant Vice President of the James' firm introduced Robert Lubin, Lubin Associates, who gave a complete analysis of this type of pension plan. After a long discussion with many questions and answers the Board voted to adopt the Variable Plan as presented by the Lubin firm for consideration by MCAA Members on a voluntary basis. A complete article on the Plan appears on page 19 of this issue of masonry. Derk and William Little of Fred S. James & Co. also briefly summarized a study of a Group Hospital Indeminity Program, however, the Board voted to delay further consideration of this material unti the November Board Meeting.

Winner of the MCAA Men's Golf Tournament was Joseph Szabo, Des Plaines, III., while Mrs. John Yoxen, Las Vegas, Nevada, won the trophy in the Women's Tournament. The men's play, as in past years, was very close. At the end of the 18 holes under the Callaway System of scoring, there was a two-way tie between Joe Szabo and Alle Young of Memphis. To break the tie a toss of the coin was agreed upon and winner was Mr. Szabo.

On Friday morning the MCAA conducted a National Golf Driving Contest in cooperation with the Merix Chemical Co. While no definite results were available, all who participated provided the audience with some unusual drives.

Discussing items concerning the Southeast Region of the Association are Membership Committee Chairman Allen Young, Memphis, Tenn., President Les Dietrich, St. Louis, Mo., Regional Vice President O. Jollay, Avondale Estates, Ga., Robert Rawlins, States Chairman Jack Cook, Miomi, Fla, and State Chairman Richard Harris, Charleston W. Va.

Closing out the meeting was a Cocktail Party and Banquet on Saturday evening. Sponsoring the cocktail party was the Pittsburgh Corning Co.

Under the direction of Splash Party Coordinator Robert Tubesing, most of the members of the Board and their wives participated in an enjoyable Splash Party Saturday evening to round out the meeting activities.
