Professor Granville S. Keith is retiring at the end of the current academic year, and will be succeeded by an unnamed professor of architecture at Urbana.

Two top officers of a company acquired July 1 by Omark Industries, Inc. have been named officers of the Portland firm, according to John D. Gray, Omark president. They are Frank K. Kelemen and Anthony Maladra. Kelemen was elected an executive vice president and Maladra a vice president and general manager both with the KSM Div. Raymond J. Nolin has been named General Sales Manager of National Portland Cements' Mortar Cement Div. Whenever opportunity knocks, some people complain about the noise.

The Concrete Masonry Association of Illinois has released an excellent directory of producers in Illinois. It gives important data about company personnel as well as information on the manufacturing processes and techniques used by each firm. The Construction Industry Manufacturers Association named Julian R. Steelman an honorary director. Steelman, president of Koehring Co., has been active in the association for many years. New Midwest Division Offices of the Dundee Cement Company are located in Oak Brook, III. Three major appointments and the creation of a new sales region have been announced by W. R. Grace & Co.'s Zonolite Division. C. R. Babb has been named sales manager of the Zonolite building products. C. R. Harrington Bebb Lowe has been named to southern regional manager succeeding Babb and C. S. Breslauer has been named regional manager for the new Florida Region of that firm. Robert W. Harrington, Manager of UMA of Northern California, has been elevated to the rank of Fellow in the Construction Specifications Institute. It came in recognition of "achievements in the science of construction, as well as for the extensive work done for CSI and the construction industry."
