MORGEN
Q. How do you scaffold a building that hasn't one straight wall?
A. Get MORGEN Scaffolding, and increase production at least 20%
"There isn't a single straight wall in the new Northland Theatre we are erecting in Southfield, Mich.," according to Jim Bologna, vice president of Leto Construction Co. in Detroit.
"We are happy we have Morgen Scaffolding to can fit the contour of these unusual shaped buildings. Curved wall make it even more important to keep masons at the same working level so they have the same perspective on their work.
"We have only enough scaffolding to cover 200 feet of wall 40 feet high on this job," Bologna points out. "Masons stay on the same wall until it is topped out. Then we use a fork lift to quickly move completely assembled units to another wall.
"Masons work efficiently at waist level instead of reaching around their shoulders or knees. I figure Morgen has increased our masons' production by 20%, in addition to being able to handle irregular walls."
Masonry contractors across the country consistently increase production 20% to 30% by using Morgen Scaffolding. Some say they couldn't stay in business without it.
