# Winter Enclosure for Morgen Scaffolding Keeps Masons' Production High during Cold Weather
Fork lift truck puts a set of three towers in place for a new woll.
The problems of masonry construction during freezing weather were overcome on the $8 million Iowa Dressed Beef Co. job, Dakota City, Iowa, by employing the enclosure system designed to work with Morgen Adjustable Scaffolding.
The Morgen enclosure protects the masons, material and the wall to the degree the weather requires. Because the enclosure is assembled at ground level and never dismantled until the wall is completed, it eliminates the dangers of handling heaters and canvas on elevated scaffolding.
Morgen scaffolding also overcame the problem of pilasters every sixteen feet. Sets of three towers were fitted between the pilasters and moved intact as each wall was completed.
By keeping the masons constantly at ideal working height by raising their platforms as the work progresses, Morgen scaffolding substantially reduces wall costs.
