Masonry Saw
Molco Industrial Equipment subsidiary of Christensen Diamond Products Company, Salt Lake City, Utah announces the development of a compact and lightweight saw for cutting all types of masonry materials.

The versatile, new Hydrosaw features a hydraulically operated table for "locked in blade cutting which maintains a constant depth of cut for fast production sawing and varied milling effects.

The table of the Hydrosaw elevates the material to be cut into the "locked in blade at a predetermined rate then returns to its lowest position automatically. By locking the blade into position, table cutting is eliminated.

New operator freedom is achieved with the aid of a foot-operated valve, actuating the hydraulic table cylinder for an infinite range of settings.

Other features include a powerful aluminum frame motor for a 40 percent motor weight reduction; sump pan which is quickly removed for easy cleanup; and finally, the Hydrosaw accommodates a full range of blade sizes up to 20 inches in diameter.

Fork Lift Truck
A lift capacity of 12,000 pounds and the ability to work fast in confined areas are offered in Taylor's new Y-12WS "Yardster."

Outside turning radius of the Y-12WS is 125 inches and lift speed, fully loaded, is 100 feet per minute. Standard equipment includes a one-lever powershift transmission and a 300 cubicinch displacement industrial engine.

The frame of the Y-12WS is all-welded structural steel and heavy plate (up to 3 inches thick). Standard lift height of the telescopic mast is 11 feet. Other lift heights, up to 18 feet, are available. Forks can be adjusted from side-to-side, even to placing one or both forks in the center of the carriage.

A wide variety of special options is available, including the "silencer" muffling system on the unit pictured.

Concrete/Masonry Bits
A new type of drill bit made in Holland for concrete and masonry work has four spirals instead of the conventional two, thus expanding the discharge capacity by 40 percent and reducing the friction surface by 80 percent.

Known under the trade name "Rex," these carbide drill bits are made under a new cold rolling process by N. V. Gereedschappenfabriek Ter Horst of Hengelo, The Netherlands. They come in diameters ranging from " to ½" and in lengths from 3% to 6". They are now available for export to the United States, Canada and other countries.

The four spirals on the body of the "Rex" bit vary alternately in depth. The larger drilling area allows rapid removal of the cuttings and dust and accelerates the drilling speed.

For further information, readers may write to the Netherlands Consulate General, Commercial Division, 10 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, N.Y. 10020.

Vermiculite Brochure Available
"Just Pour in the Core for Better Block Walls" has just been published by the Vermiculite Institute. Comprehensive and well illustrated, this folder gives "U" tables for single concrete block thru-walls and block back-up walls. Similar tables for cavity walls of brick, split block, and stone.

Installation methods for new and existing walls, sound reduction, and fire-resistance are also covered. Vermiculite in the cores of a two-hour concrete masonry wall increased the fire-rating to four hours in a recent fire test. Available from Vermiculite Institute, 208 South La Salle St., Chicago, III. 60604.

Concrete Mixer Literature
CYCLO-MIXER
FOR HIGHEST QUALITY MEXING
PCM
The PCM Cyclo-Mixer, a pan-type, compulsory concrete mixer, is described in new literature from PCM Division of Koehring Company, Port Washington, Wis.

The Cyclo-Mixer employs a unique mixing action using a series of plow-like mixing paddles rotated by a central spinner unit which forces materials to be in motion at all times. The circular design of the Cyclo-Mixer provides the utmost flexibility in charging and discharging.

The Cyclo-Mixer is designed for a minimum of headroom requirements and in most cases needs no plant alterations.
