Kwik-Mix Catalog
The Kwik-Mix line of Plaster Mortar Mixers, in four sizes from 5½ to 10 cubic feet, is described in new literature from PCM, Division of Koehring Company, Port Washington, Wis. The mixers feature outstanding protection to paddle-shaft bearings, with a separate mounting supporting the weight of drum and mix. A combination of ring packings, seals and spring tension on packing glands provides protection to the bearings, preventing mix from getting into vital bearings. Heavy-duty construction assures safe and convenient mixer operation. Spring-mounted axles and high speed wheels, standard on all but smallest model, where it is optional, provide easy trailing. Simple operation, combined with rugged power trains with either cast iron gasoline engines or fully protected electric motors, minimizes mixer maintenance.
Power Alternator
A new 5KW Power Alternator for contractors and for emergency standby power has been introduced by Wincharger Corporation, subsidiary of Zenith Radio Corporation, Sioux City, Iowa. In announcing the new units, Roy A. Brewer, Sales Manager, stated that "The new WINCO Series 5WS provides ample portable electric power for contractors of all types for tools and lights on every job; also emergency standby power for homes, farms, greenhouses, nursing homes, small hospitals and industry." The WINCO 5WS models feature a new weather-resistant control box with all controls and receptacles conveniently grouped in a compact area. A new oil reservoir acts as an automatic oil level regulator and is available as optional equipment. The oil level regulator greatly increases the oil capacity and replenishes the oil as needed to maintain exact crackcase oil level continuously, thereby eliminating needless checking and filling delays. The WINCO 5WS models are powered by a Wisconsin air-cooled THD engine, rated at 11.7 HP at 1800 RPM, and will safely power a 2.5 HP motor load, plus 500 watts of lights. They are available in 115/230 volt and 115 volt models with manual, electric or remote starting. Complete information from Wincharger Corporation, 1805 Zenith Drive, Sioux City, Iowa 51102.

Hydraulic Crane
A 56-foot full power boom now available for the model 410-Senior BLH Austin-Western 12½-ton hydraulic crane gives the machine the longest power reach of any crane in its capacity range now on the market. The new 3-section power boom, which retracts to only 22½ feet, is also offered for the four other 400 series models in the Austin-Western crane line: 410 (10-ton), 410-P (10-ton truck or stationary mount), 409 (9-ton), and 409-P (9-ton truck or stationary). A 12-foot manual extension is also available which permits a 68-foot reach, and by adding a 15-foot jib the new boom combination extends to 83 feet. The manual boom extension, which can be installed in minutes, retracts inside the crane boom when not in use. The fully telescoping boom simplifies travel over the highway, makes it easier to maneuver the 4-wheel steer machines around construction sites or in cramped mill or yard areas.
