PCA Elects Three VP's
Election of three vice presidents for the field divisions of the Portland Cement Association has been announced by Dr. Harry N. Huntzicker, president. They are Walter E. Kunze, Eastern Division; Charles H. Knight, Jr.. Western Division; and George H. Paris, Canadian Division. The Eastern Division includes all states east of the Mississippi River except Wisconsin, while the Western Division embraces all states west of the Mississippi plus Wisconsin.

Canadian Estimating Course

TORONTO The Canadian Masonry Contractors Association sponsored a Masonry Estimating Course on Nov. 29 and 30 with 49 persons in attendance. Held at the new Constellation Motor Inn, adjacent to the Toronto Airport, Mason Contractors from British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario and New Brunswick were in attendance, with Bob Hillis, Mike Chernetski and Walter Maniago traveling the greatest distance. ESHENAUR NAMED SCPI PRESIDENT

With a call for more youth, more innovations and new product knowledge, Pennsylvania brick manufacturer Woodrow R. Eshenaur assumed the presidency of the Structural Clay Clay Products Produ Institute at its 30th annual convention. Mr. Eshenaur heads Glen-Gery Corp. of Reading, Pa., a diversified building materials concern that is the East's biggest and one of the nation's largest brick companies. He will lead the 34-year old trade association for a two year term.
Three-Hour Fire Rating
The Structural Research Laboratory of the University of California at Berkeley has issued a report on a standard fire test (ASTM E 119) giving a 3-hour fire resistance rating to an 8-in. loadbearing brick cavity wall, (Continued on page 37)
