# Hoist-Winch-Puller Unit

# Two-Way Portable Radio

Motorola's small, lightweight HT 220 series "Handie-Talkie" FM two-way portable radio is now available with 5 watts RF power output, according to Martin Cooper, director of product operations, Motorola Communications Division (the 1.8 watt HT 220 was announced in January). At the same time, Cooper announced the availability of the HT 220 units with capabilities for private line, selective call, remote speaker microphone and multiple frequency (up to 6 frequencies) as well as universal and surveillance models. Extended duty cycle models are also available.

Two Motorola designed monolithic integrated circuits, three in the private line model, make possible the unique size reduction, 50% from the previous standard -the HT 200 "Handie-Talkie" radio. "With the introduction of these new models of the HT 220, Motorola is extending this new standard of personal portability to cover the full spectrum of portable two-way communications," Cooper said in making the announcement.

Recently described by New York Mayor John V. Lindsay as "an extraordinarily important breakthrough in miniaturized communications equipment," the HT 220 radio is small and light enough to fit in the hand, be clipped to the belt or carried in a jacket pocket. The standard 1.8 watt version measures 6.95 inches long. 2.75 inches wide and 1.16 inches thick and weighs 21 ounces. The standard 5 watt model is the same height and width, is 1.69 inches thick and weighs only 28.5 ounces. All models are available in the 150.8 to 170 MHz range. # 665-TC Truck Crane

The 665-TC truck crane is described in a new eight-page, four-color brochure from Koehring Division of Koehring Company. On-site photographs, illustrations and schematic drawings display the capabilities of the 65-ton capacity truck crane that can employ a 200 ft. boom and jib. Three line speeds completely independent of swing speeds are available for raising or lowering a load while swinging. Completely described are the power controls, operator comfort and mobility characteristics which are better than most 40 to 50 ton cranes. # New Morgen Brochure

A new four-color booklet showing how Morgen Tower Scaffolding can increase masons production 20% or more has been issued by Morgen Manufacturing Company, Yankton, S. Dak. It uses job photos from all over the country to illustrate six ways the scaffolding speeds up mason's work or cuts down labor. The scaffolding is recommended for all types of masonry walls from 12 feet to 210 feet high.
