Forklift Tractor
The first all-wheel-drive, all-wheel-steer tractor with forklift mast manufactured by Clark Equipment Company now is available from Clark Equipment Co.

The Model 35AWS tractor with forklift mast has been designed to work in plants, on pavement or over rough terrain. It will be used by building contractors, lumber yards and in other palletized load handling applications where maneuverability and high ground clearance are particularly desirable.

Ground clearance of the Model 35AWS is 17 in. and the tractor's all-wheel-drive, coupled with its all-wheel-steer, gives it maneuverability far beyond that of normal forklifts.

Chemstop Waterproofing
Copies of two reports of weather-ometer tests on samples of masonry treated with Chemstop water-proofing are available from Chemstop Manufacturing Corporation.

Results of of the test by Spratt-Russell Laboratories Ltd., Vancouver, B. C., are expressed as coefficients of moisture permeability for treated and untreated samples of concrete. The seven-page report includes permeability curves, weather-ometer test details, and mix design for the concrete samples.

A separate test was conducted conducted by the Chevron Research Company subsidiary of Standard Oil Company of California, at El Segundo, Calif. The test included exposure of samples of concrete, porous block and brick to the weatherometer for 312 and 512 hour cycles. Results are presented photographically to show "beading characteristics of water drops on the samples.

Copies of the reports may be obtained from Chemstop Manufacturing Corp., 2928 Empire Ave., Burbank, Calif. 91504.

Morgen Tower Scaffolding
The increased use of overhangs and sunshades in building design has prompted a major change in the platform-supporting carriages of Morgen Tower Scaffolding. The new carriages have removable and reversible arms to provide greater flexibility in planking and greater ease of handling and storage.

By simply removing the front arms, the elevating platforms can bypass overhangs as much as 33" from the wall. The new design enables the contractor to have a flat-platform, a two-level or three-level platform, or any combination up to a total width of 90.

Literature is available from Morgen Manufacturing Co., Box 160, Yankton, S.D. 57078.

Skin Protector
The alkaline hydroxides of lime found in wet cement, or activated by the dry powder acting on perspiration of the skin with the same effect, can cause serious skin burns. Cement workers, bricklayers, cement mill, and quarry workers are using Kerodex No. 71 to help prevent skin trouble.

Kerodex is a greaseless, stainless, barrier cream which can be applied to hands, forearms, face, neck, and also ankles if exposed. The cream will protect the skin against the action of wet cement and the action of dry powder particles in the air which react with perspiration.

Kerodex is sold directly to industry by Ayerst Laboratories, 685 Third Ave., New York, N.Y. 10017. Individual 4 oz. tubes are available at drugstores. Literature and price list are available on request.
