Multi-Purpose Cutter
The Ring Saw cuts a full 12 inches in a single pass through timbers, metals or masonry, and fells trees up to 24 inches in diameter. Blades can be changed in seconds with no tools.
Cutting is done below the center of the blade and eliminates common bucking or throwing. The Ring Saw is available with a wide variety of carbide, abrasive and special purpose blades. Contact Ring Saws Inc., 160 Bear Hill Rd., Waltham, Mass, 02154.
AA Reinforcing System
A unique adaptation of truss-style masonry reinforcing called Stone-Lok now permits the fast, easy tie-in of stone facing, or any other non-modular veneer, to the masonry back-up wall. Proving a success in many installations, the system works with vertical reinforcing rods held in place by small triangles which are protrusions of the truss reinforcing. This reinforcing, which is a patented variation of the popular truss design, is laid up in normal fashion in the back-up wall. The stone mason is then able to position his ties along these rods at any point on the vertical dimension of the wall.
Varying thicknesses, depths, and shapes of stones are easily accommodated, and the time-consuming job of matching joints in outer and inner walls as closely as possible is eliminated. Savings in labor costs thus become dramatic. This patented system not only offers a practical and economical way to reinforce nonmodular masonry walls, its exceptional strength makes it able to completely satisfy building codes.
Literature, specifications and recommendations for the use of Stone-Lok reinforcing are available from AA Wire Products Co., 6100 S. New England Ave.. Chicago, III. 60638.
