HOW IMPORTANT IS A MORTAR BOARD ANYWAY?
It's important enough to do the following:
No nails to obstruct movement of trowel. Requires less tempering of mortar. Porous steel and high grade enamel finish does not absorb water.
Three steel legs of mortar board afford constantly steady working surface. Unlike wood with nails, this mortar board cannot rust - no additional maintenance expense.
Spun 1% turned down edge reinforces mortar board, affording positive rigidity.
Ample sized working surface: 32" diameter.
A quantity of mortar boards can be nested together for easy transportation and storage.
Combine all the above features with indestructibility, and you have a mortar board that can't help but make the mason's job easier and quicker and the cost of construction much cheaper.
