# Dyna-Grout Solves Problems
Repairs to a variety of surfaces ranging from brick and concrete to metal and wood, as well as problems of anchoring, waterproofing, skid-proofing and indoor/ outdoor grouting can be tackled with new success through application of a mixed- in-minutes polyester formula marketed under the name Dyna-Grout.
The versatile product, available for professional or consumer use, is a simple, two-part formula that can be mixed on- site and applied by just one person. It can be used with filler material for re- pairs and construction work, or used as an effective waterproofing or refinishing agent.
According to Dyna-Grout, Inc., of 159 W. 33rd St., New York, N.Y., the new resin can be applied to damp or dry surfaces, is not dependent upon either temperature or weather for application, bonds quickly to any surrounding surface in just 30 minutes, and is highly resistant to attack by atmospheric or other chem- icals.
# Portable Blaster
Empire Abrasive Equipment Corp. has designed a one-man, portable blaster in its "Economy Series" that has a 105-lb. sand capacity. Designated the P-105, this unit is a pressure-type blasting device for light on-site work and is said to be ideal for removing corrosion, old paint, and hard grime from any surface. The P-105 permits one-man operation in "tight" areas.
The P-105 blaster requires a 5 h.p. or larger air compressor. The unit weighs 85 Ibs, and is mounted on rubber-tire wheels for easy mobility. It is constructed of heavy gauge steel and meets ASME standards.

# Protective Footwear
The newest addition to the American line of protective footwear is a boot that incorporates a layer of steel giving the wearer protection from puncture wounds, one of the largest causes of foot injuries in the construction industry. The boot also features Flex-Gard padded steel toes that exceed Class 75 of ANSI stan- dards for men's safety steel toe footwear as adopted by OSHA.

# Disposable Respirator
For the first time, a disposable res pirator, approved by the Bureau of Mines (Approval No. 21B-129), with a special inhalation and exhalation valve system is being marketed by General Scientific Equipment Co. Model 7165 meets the stringent schedule 218 for dusts which have a Threshold Limit Value (TLV) not less than 0.1 mg./cu. m. or 2.4 million particles/cu. ft.
Features of this new respirator are: workers simply throw it away after use; costly respirator cleaning and mainte- nance programs are reduced; it is con- venient, economical, and sanitary; there is no problem with a worker having to wear somebody else's respirator; and a special inhalation and exhalation valve system prevents moisture build-up and permits cool, effortless breathing. The wearer doesn't re-breathe his own stale air, nor does heat build up within the respirator to cause discomfort. The face- piece remains comfortable and pliable at all temperatures, conforming to facial contours.

# Dura-Tarp Protection
A tough, new, lightweight material de- veloped primarily for the modular hous- ing industry will be useful in protecting a wide variety of products during out- door storage and shipment, according to Thilmany Pulp & Paper Co. Called Dura-Tarp, the material is a reinforced black polyethylene lamination, said to have shown excellent capabilities in water shedding, puncture and tear resistance, and adaptability to extreme temperature change.
The material can be grommeted and sewn-unusual properties for a plastic cover material. It can thus be made into pre-formed covers and shrouds for prod- ucts of any size. Light weight adds to the ease of handling Dura-Tarp. A 500 sq. ft. tarp weighs only 17 lbs., no problem for one man to handle.

# Low-cost Calculator
Commodore, Inc., 390 Reed St., Santa Clara, Calif. 95050, is marketing a new high-speed electronic printing calculator priced at under $500. According to the company, this price is less than for most conventional mechanical calculators, yet offers the super high speed, foolproof performance and silent calculations that are the hallmarks of new integrated cir cuitry.
The Commodore unit multiplies and divides, with constants, instantly (the time is measured in milliseconds). It also adds and subtracts with comparable speed and silence. It then prints a tape in two colors for true credit balance results and also delivers answers accurate to the decimal. It has a 12-digit capacity.
