Main Street USA and the fabulous 18-story Cinderella Castle are visible in this panoramic view of the Magic Kingdom. The monorail in the foreground takes guests from the ticket and transportation center to the theme park, and walkways, bands, singers, dancers and lively Walt Disney characters add a happy heartbeat to each theme land.
MAIN STREET
A typical visit begins with a grand circle tour of the 100-acre Magic Kingdom aboard old fashioned steam trains departing from the Main Street Railroad Station followed by a stroll down Main Street U.S.A.
Here is America as it was 75 years ago with horsedrawn streetcars, ice cream parlor and silent cinema among many intriguing shops. Just off Town Square, guests may see "The Walt Disney Story" with filmed highlights and memorabilia of the master showman's career.
At the north end of Main Street is the Plaza, a garden-park which forms a central hub for the Magic Kingdom with bridges leading to each of the other five lands. Towering overall is Cinderella Castle with golden spires more than 18-stories tall. Around the Plaza are colorful restaurants at the entranceway to each land.
ADVENTURELAND
The spirit of adventure in faraway lands is the theme as guests make their way past the towering Swiss Family Robinson treehouse to the popular jungle cruise. River launches carry visitors through jungles where Indian elephants, hippos, lions and other wild beast abound.
Just around the bend is a different tropic mood in the Caribbean Plaza where adventurers depart for an exciting cruise to a port city under attack by "pirates of the Caribbean." The attraction is a favorite of all visitors. In a masonry
