Dodge Guide Adds Labor,

Productivity Figures

Labor rates and productivity figures for merit shop jobs have been added to the 1977 Dodge Guide to Public Works and Heavy Construction. The new data on hourly wage scales and work crew sizes in this ninth annual edition reflect the lower costs associated with the growing movement away from union shops.

The 232-page Guide contains more than 6,000 unit costs arranged in three sections according to levels of detail to facilitate the preparation of quick budget estimates, more detailed engineering estimates and very detailed bids. The unit cost data cover materials, labor costs, equipment rental and purchase rates, work crew sizes, and productivity rates for crews and power equipment. An index listing 120 U.S. and Canadian cities permits local cost adjustments.

Price of the Guide is $21.60 prepaid plus the appropriate state sales tax. Address mail orders to Dodge Building Cost Services, McGraw-Hill Information Systems Co., Rm., 2051, 1221 Avenue of the Americas, New York, N.Y. 10020.
