REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENTS

RICHARD C. MATTHEWS
Vice President, Region C

Richard C. Matthews is vice president of KMCO, Inc., Miamisburg. Ohio, a firm specializing in commercial. industrial and refractory work. He earned his journeyman's card in 1958, and worked as a masonry superintendent and vice president of Hoying Masonry until he became a mason contractor in 1973.

Dick has been active in local and regional industry affairs, currently serving his fifth term as president of the Mason Contractors Association of Dayton. He also is chairman of the Masonry Institute of Dayton, and co-chairman of the Dayton Area Construction Employers Negotiating Committee.

With MCAA, Dick is a member of the Material Handling Committee and has been Ohio state chairman for the past two years.

Along with his business interests he works closely with children, being involved with Little League Baseball and as an assistant football coach at a local school.

Dick and his wife, Virginia, will celebrate their 17th wedding anniversary next November. They have a son. Gary, and a daughter. Stacey.

RICHARD C. FELICE
Vice President, Region E

Richard C. Felice is president of the mason contracting firm of Forrest & Associates, Inc., Des Moines, la. Dick started his four-year apprenticeship in 1956, and six years later, together with Dale Forrest, founded the firm that today is one of the largest mason contracting organizations in lowa.

Dick has served as MCAA lowa state chairman for many years. He is secretary of the Mason Contractors of Central lowa, is past-president of the Masonry Institute of lowa, and is presently serving as the Institute's secretary. He also has served on the Apprenticeship Committee of MCAA, and was an alternate on the National Joint Bricklaying Apprenticeship and Training Committee.

Dick has been extremely active in many civic and service organizations and recently was chosen president of the Citizen Committee for Advancement of Rational Education.

Although a dedicated businessman, Dick is very much a family man. He and his wife, Elaine, have been married for 12 years and have six children. Mary is attending Iowa State University and Kim is studying at the Colorado Institute of Art and Photography. Ted Felice and his wife, Cindy. live in Des Moines. Vickie graduates this spring from high school, and Kathy and Rick both will be attending high school next year.

WILLIAM J. YOUNG
Vice President. Region J

William J. Young is the new Vice President for Region J, which covers the Dominion of Canada. In business. life he is president of Maritime. Bricklayers Ltd., Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Bill is immediate past-president of the Canadian Masonry Contractors Association, and has been most active in CMCA's undertakings since its inception. He has been president of the Fredericton Construction Association, the Construction Association of New Brunswick, and the Federicton Chamber of Commerce.

Previously he served for two years as vice president for New Brunswick of the Canadian Construction Association, and at present is entering his fourth term as president of the Atlantic Masonry Association.

Upon leaving university, Bill joined Maritime Bricklayers Ltd. in 1958 as an estimator. He went on to become contracts manager, general manager, and has held his current position of president for the past nine years.

Masonry and his family are Bill's main interests. He and his wife, Mary, have three children-two daughters attending university and a son in junior high school. Bill is active in church and community affairs, and coaches in the local minor hockey and baseball programs.
