Detroit Bank Building
The Detroit Bank and Trust Company Building is a 25-story structure of concrete frame and floor, and masonry walls. Floor finishes include quarry tile in lobby areas and terrazzo tile in corridors.
Sidney E. Shorter & Associates, Detroit, served as consulting structural engineer on the project.
NBS Building Technology Project Summarized
More than 130 ongoing research projects carried out during 1979-80 at the National Bureau of Standards Center for Building Technology are summarized in a new publication, Building Technology Project Summaries-1979-80 (SP 446-4).
The 11 prime research areas covered include: energy conservation in buildings, building thermal envelope systems and insulating materials, building solar systems, earthquake hazard protection, and structure and foundation performance.
