'85 MCAA PRE-CONFERENCE SEMINARS continued
FRIDAY, March 8, 8:00 a.m.
The seminar on "Computer Assisted Masonry" will continue on Friday morning and conclude after all of the subject matter has been covered.
At 10 a.m., the Masonry Systems Marketing Committee will conduct its seminar on "Masonry Systems Marketing." The course will run the full day, until 5:00 p.m. A detailed report covering this seminar will be published in a forthcoming monthly MCAA Bulletin.
Special Note to Early Arrivals: This would be an opportune time to enjoy the sun and the various recreational facilities and sights in the Las Vegas area.
CONFERENCE ACTIVITIES
FRIDAY, March 8
Conference registration will begin at 2:00 p.m. This should permit early arrivals as well as MCAA officers and committee members to check in and be available for committee meetings Saturday morning. The day will be open for personal activities.
SATURDAY, March 9
Conference registration will start at 8:00 a.m., followed by committee meetings from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. The MCAA Executive Board will meet at 10:30 a.m. and stay in session until all Association business has been concluded.
SPECIAL NOTE: The MCAA committee meetings are open to all MCAA members who are sincerely urged to attend those sessions having special interest for them.
At 1:30 p.m. members will go directly to the President's Reception, which will culminate with the opening of the '85 MCAA Trade Show.
SUNDAY, March 10
At 11:00 a.m., MCAA members and guests will gather in the demonstration area of the Las Vegas Hilton to observe the ever-popular Masonry Industry Showcase. This year's event will be the biggest and most diversified ever. It will feature the newest, most modern and most efficient material handling equipment available to mason contractors in the U.S. and Canada.
Immediately following the Showcase, the Trade Show will open and remain open until 4:00 p.m.
That evening, those going to the extra-special entertainment event at the Las Vegas Hilton-the Moulin Rouge starring vivacious Suzanne Somers will first gather for pre-dinner refreshments and then proceed to the showroom where they will be seated in a specially reserved section for dinner and the evening's performance.
MONDAY, March 11
MCAA's 35th International Masonry Conference will officially start with the Opening Session at 9:30 a.m. MCAA President W. C. Dentinger, Jr. will preside and deliver his Annual Report to the membership.
One of the featured speakers that morning will be Dr. John Dunlop, dean of the Harvard Graduate School of Business and former U.S. Secretary of Labor. Dr. Dunlop's address will concentrate on the nation's current fiscal and economic policy as well as the masonry industry's new Labor/Management Disputes Set-tlement Board.
Another major speaker still to be confirmed will be announced in the next MCAA Bulletin.
After the Opening Session, members will proceed directly to the exhibit hall where a delicious buffet luncheon will be served. Special Note: For those desiring to participate in the buffet, tickets may be purchased at the MCAA Registration Desk.
