# Masonry Estimating For A Profit
An excellent educational opportunity! MCAA is proud to present the seminar "Masonry Estimating For A Profit" based on the new, revised 1986 Edition of the Masonry Estimating For A Profit Manual which is widely acclaimed as the authority for masonry construction estimating. The lecturer and manual author, Jerry G. Pope, Greeley, Colo., will conduct the 1½ day course which revolves around the 175-page manual.
The new 3rd Edition has been revised and features three new Divisions Computer Use in Construction, Masonry Panel Systems and Masonry Systems Marketing. The course is divided into six parts which take you from the beginning of estimating procedures on through the surveys, bidding strategy, manpower allocations, and the final reports and costs summaries. This is an ideal refresher course for those who have been in the industry. The new edition provides an excellent reference not only for the course but for future uses. If you haven't attended this is a must.

# Effective Marketing for Today's Mason Contractor
The MCAA Masonry Systems Marketing Committee has developed a unique program this year entitled "Effective Marketing for Today's Mason Contractor." This day-long seminar has been conveniently scheduled so that each attendee can participate in each of the four sessions to be presented. The sessions are entitled Developing Your Marketing Plan, Personal Sales Techniques, When the Dollar Works, You Do Too and What Works and Why.
These sessions, combined with the special Manual designed to provide the mason contractor with the proper sales tools, concentrates on such areas as Energy, Economics, Engineering. Esthetics and Erection. A special feature of the seminar will be an 80-frame slide presentation entitled "Marketing Masonry For A Profit" developed by the Marketing Committee to promote marketing to mason contractors and MCAA Chapters.
The seminar will be co-chaired by Dick Felice and Jim Cope, Committee Chairmen.

# Brick Panels-A System that Really Works
Want to learn more about brick panels... how to fabricate and install them? This will be the theme of a special seminar presented by Lenny Pardue of L. C. Pardue Masonry of Portland, Oregon. This Pacific Northwest firm has been highly successful in meeting the intricate design details and installation procedures. This four-hour program is basic and will be amply illustrated with over 180 slides of actual fabrication and installation of the panels. The tips and techniques used by the Pardue firm in overcoming apparent obstacles of both materials and design will be fully discussed.
