39th AED Green Book
The 1988 39th edition of the "Green Book" includes more than 2,000 nationally averaged daily, weekly and monthly rental rates for all types and sizes of construction equipment.
This new edition of the "Rental Rates Compilation" published by Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) also includes updated condensed specifications covering models, horsepower, capacity and other information about construction equipment.
The 1988 book provides daily, weekly and monthly nationally averaged 1987 rates based on a year-end survey of construction equipment distributors who are members of Associated Equipment Distributors, the trade association of distributors and manufacturers of equipment for construction, mining, logging, forestry, public works and related industries.

Chicago Capital Fund Raises $4.35 Million
The Chicago Capital fund (CCF) has raised $4.35 million from prominent Chicago businesses and foundations for the årst of its five $5.1 million venture capital limited partnerships. CCF, a not-for-profit corporation, is unique among venture capital companies. It operates two for-profit subsidiaries that invest in labor-intensive businesses that are too small to attract capital from traditional venture capitalists, while earning a reasonable return for its investors and creating jobs in Chicago.
Chicago Capital Fund has targeted for investment existing Chicago-based small businesses that are past the start-up phase and want to expand. CCF makes equity investments from $50,000 to $350,000 in qualified businesses. In many cases, CCF's equity investment makes it possible for a business to increase its line of credit from its bank.
Chicago Capital Fund is a private sector initiative designed to retain and create jobs within the city of Chicago by offering equity and subordinated loans to qualified businesses. The Fund is an Illinois not-for-profit corporation governed by a pro bono board of directors. CCF enables both the private and charitable sectors to make profitable investments in the growth of Chicago small businesses.
