NORTHLAND PINES, Pre-K, through eighth grade
Located in Eagle River, Wisconsin, Northland Pines, Pre-K, through eighth grade, won Best of Show at Masonry Expo '95. This project required the importation of skilled tradesmen from Michigan, Indiana and Arizona due to its size and complexity. This single story school, with red and white patterns of utility brick and split faced block, with green glazed block accent, creates one of the most unique looking schools in northern Wisconsin. Good coordinating teamwork between owner, architect, general and masonry contractors was credited with finishing the project two months early, despite the wintertime weather conditions.
Ten Masonry Projects Honored
Contractors and architects recognized for their outstanding projects in four categories in 2nd International Excellence in Masonry Awards competition.
TEN mason contractors and architects were honored at MASONRY Magazine's second annual International Excellence in Masonry Awards Breakfast on Wednesday, February 8, 1995. The awards were presented during the Masonry Expo '95 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Entries were previous winners in local, state or regional competitions, and were on display in the Masonry Expo exhibit hall during the run of the exposition.
