ROUGH TERRAIN
FORKLIFT SAFETY
AND MAINTENANCE
TRAINING MANUAL

Part 2, the"Hands On" test of the
MCAA Rough Terrain Forklift Safety
& Maintenance Training Course is
now available and completes the
MCAA Forklift Training program.
The course consists of; a Training
Manual, Administrator's Guide, a
written test and Part 2, which is the
"skill"test for rough terrain forklift
operators. "It is patterned after the
manner in which you get your first
drivers license. The operator com-
pletes the Manual and the 80 question
written test; then the laborer gets
onto the forklift and is tested for
his/her ability to safely operate the
equipment," said George Miller,
author of Part 2. The entire course has
already been conducted at several
Training Centers and found to be
very comprehensive and helpful in
determing the qualifications of the
Trainee to handle the forklift. Part 2
has eight sections which are divided
into two categories, Preparatory and
Operating. The final section, Obstacle
Course, list 13 Critical Performance
Criteria that must be executed by the
trainee.
Upon successfully completing the
"hands on" test, the trainee receives a
completion seal that is placed on the
reverse side of the completion card
that they received upon successfully
completing Part 1. The Administrator
of the test fills out a Training Record
card which becomes part of the
Training Center or Contractors per-
manent records.

Foreman Development". This course
was developed to give all masons the

action with other attendees. It will be a
combination of videos of actual case
studies, role playing and practical expe
