Concrete Masonry Checkoff Program Webinars

Words: Alicia Hodges

Join us for an insightful Program Webinar on October 29th at 12 PM ET/11 AM CT, where you will hear directly from industry leaders Jeff Buczkiewicz and Ryan Shaver. They will discuss two pivotal programs shaping the future of the masonry industry: the National program Block Solid: Recruiting & Developing Tomorrow’s Craftworkers, and the Region 2 Concrete Masonry Outreach program.

Jeff Buczkiewicz will delve into the Block Solid program, a collaborative effort between MCAA and Region 2, aimed at establishing a comprehensive high school masonry education and outreach initiative. This program is designed to create a standardized curriculum for high schools nationwide, providing teachers with the necessary resources and support. The goal is to educate students about the myriad benefits of masonry and the promising career paths it offers, ultimately attracting young talent to the industry post-graduation. This national-level program will be tailored for regional and local execution, ensuring its effectiveness across diverse communities.

Meanwhile, Ryan Shaver will present the Region 2 Concrete Masonry Outreach program, which focuses on implementing masonry outreach initiatives across Region 2. This program is dedicated to developing tools and resources that highlight the advantages of a career in masonry. By engaging directly with masonry contractors and producers, it aims to showcase the long-term benefits and stability inherent in the concrete masonry industry. This comprehensive initiative is designed to be adaptable, allowing it to be implemented across all five regions of the United States.

We encourage you to forward this invitation and join us in exploring how these programs are investing in the next generation, ensuring a vibrant future for the masonry industry.
