Longacre & Son, when cooperating with other Medina businesses in restoring downtown buildings, stripped away a false modern facade to find a fine imported leaded-glass sign which had been in place since the turn of the century. Downtown Medina experienced a sharp upswing in business following its restoration. Now similar revitalization for three more small communities is the objective of the Main Street Project of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
